Gifted and talented students are those who perform at or show the potential for performing at a remarkably high level of accomplishment when compared to others of the same age, experience, or environment and who exhibit high performance capability in intellectual areas, creative problem solving, and/or excels in specific academic fields.

Celina Middle School GT classes focus on developing critical thinking skills to promote independent learning experiences beyond the core curriculum.  Students learn to analyze information and communicate creatively and effectively. Leadership skills are developed through a variety of independent and cooperative learning methods. Students participate in a differentiated curriculum, offering opportunities for students to explore their interests and develop the widest possible range of abilities.

GT students participated in Explore UT on the University of Texas campus, attended the Seventh Grade Gifted Conference at SMU, were winners in the Daughters of the American Revolution American History Essay Contest, and are currently participating in the CoCo BEST robotics competition.
